We started operations in the year of 1990 as pioneers in the shipping industry to solve the increasing complexity in the domestic shipping routes of Bangladesh. SS Helencha is a renowned cargo vessel owner and charterer, serving cement factories, steel manufacturing plants, grain husking plants and silos, brick kilns.

SS Helencha also works as a importer of various commodities, playing a significant role in meeting the demand of numerous people of the country. SS Helencha also carries out civil construction works, helping the Bangladesh government and its wings in executing several infrastructures. SS Helencha is a cargo vessel owner and charterer in Bangladesh, established in 1990. We transport imported goods and cargo via lighter vessels, barges, and tug-boats to all river ports in Bangladesh. With over 30 years of experience, we guarantee safe and reliable transportation of freight for clients, including multinational companies.

Civil Construction

SS Engineering Constriction is the construction unit of SS Helencha, offering a full range of solution for development of critical infrastructures required for the ease of transportation, development of education and research and in execution of various projects of the Bangladesh government.

ODC Logistics

At SS Helencha Group we also provide well-engineered and individually tailored sea and river logistics packages to clients with cargo of special dimensions including cargo that requires specialized and careful handling, cargo with no uniform dimensions, over dimensional cargo, heavy-weight cargo like heavy machinery, heavy generator, industrial boiler, factory ball mill and other complex structures and equipment used in power plant, factories and industries.

PS Salvage is a leading offshore and river contractor and maritime services provider, and an allied concern of SS Helencha. It provides a full range of salvage and towing services across the country. We serve our customers when their ships are in their most vulnerable moments. We always serve our customers efficiently, quickly and safely.

Trading

SS Helencha imports, trades and supplies various commodities and raw materials in large volume. At SS Helencha we are involved in import and supply of civil construction resources, industrial grade salts, edible salts, agricultural peas, rice and lentils. At SS Helencha Group, we also trade along with our partners at three of our allied concerns: DEBABRATA TRADE INTERNATIONAL, BITHIKA TRADERS and INCEPTION TRADE INTERNATIONAL. At SS HELENCHA group, our trading body also works closely with our logistics experts, which helps us ensure our customers are always receiving purchased goods in time.

Technology

SS Tech is a green and renewable technology solution provider and partner. It was found in the year of 2016 as an allied concern of SS Helencha. It provides a full range of technological solutions for projects across many fields, meeting a net zero carbon emission target. SS Tech heavily deploys modern Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in developing critical infrastructures.

School

At SS Helencha, we truly understand the role of education in shaping the future of the country and in establishing sustainable growth. We have started Sumotibala School in Barishal to give easy and free access to a high quality education to numerous children in remote areas. Established and inaugurated in the year of 2014, the school has helped more than 10,000 children gain quality education and achieve outstanding results.

In 2022, the school has been enlisted by the Government of Bangladesh in the MPO scheme. The Government of Bangladesh now contributes to the development of the school through monthly remuneration of the school staff and tutors.
